Fresh Vision

We step into the New Year with a  renewed commitment and hope.   I feel revitalized, like a deer springing through the woods, even though at times I have to use a walking stick!  When one has truly met with the King of kings, one does not look back (Philipeans 3:13) and think of sickness or pain, or the many operations over the past years, but looks forward to what God will be doing this year.   I am hungry and thirsty to see revival break out in our town.  Despite all the criminality in this country, there are now nearly 50% born-again Christians here.   It is not enough – I want to see 100% and will not stop sharing Jesus Christ until that happens.

We want to thank all our friends who have faithfully supported our ministry in finances and prayer over the past 16 years.  Our work would not have been possible without your love and support.  We pray that you will continue to support us for the next 16 years and beyond, or, until Jesus Christ returns.  If just one hundred of you gave only 10 euros each month we could do so much more for the Kingdom of God and these wonderful people.   Please truly pray about making a contribution to our ministry, even if only for one year.  Not only will you bless us and the people but you will receive a blessing as well.

Our church hosted its 2nd Harvest Festival of the year a week before we left for Germany.  Once again there was standing room only over the period of 4 days. More than 600 hundred people attended each day.   Here are a couple of photos.

Germany

At the end of last year we spent 5 weeks in Germany itinerating and also enjoying the German food and famous Christmas Weihnachtsmarkt (Christmas Market).  It was extremely cold as you can see from the photo.   Sadly on one Sunday I was due to share at CZ Dusseldorf  Church but had to turn back because of a snow blizzard.   The very next day we could not make it to another appointment.  On top of it I caught bronchitus and could hardly talk.  Despite all the problems we were able to enjoy ourselves and spend time with Christa’s mother, and on Christmas Day with the whole of Christa’s family (4 generations!)

Christmas Evangelism

Evangelism doesn’t stop for Christmas.  What better time?  The birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.    On our return to Guatemala it was wonderful to see so many new faces after just one month. On just one day the youth of our church got 24 teenagers saved!   Now isn’t that a wonderful Christmas gift!

Time of Refreshing

Whilst in Germany several Globe Europe missionaries from various countries around the world came together for a 4 day Time of Refreshing conference in the Globe Headquarters in Wesel.  It was more than just a meeting but a time of great fellowship together.  We thank Brad and Jan Thurston, our directors, and the guest speakers  Ernst and Doris Looser, for a wonderful blessed time.
